BETDAQ

The Company

BETDAQ is the trading name of Global Betting Exchange, registered in Ireland with company number 325422. Its registered office is at IFSC House, Custom House Quay, Dublin 1, Ireland.
The company was founded in 2000 by leading Irish businessman Dermot Desmond, whose many diverse business interests focus on key sector areas of Technology, Leisure, Transport and include the world famous luxury resort, Sandy Lane, in Barbados, and a major shareholding in Glasgow Celtic Football Club.
Global Betting Exchange commenced trading in September 2001 as a result of the growing trend in P2P (person to person) business models such as ebay and market-led consumer demand for competitive prices (odds) on sports betting.
The company operates a number of sports betting exchanges and brokerages around the world to provide its partners with effective pricing mechanisms for global sports wagering and risk-free revenues. The exchange uses state-of the-art proprietary software, developed with a number of partners, and is fully protected by copyright in the European Union.

Security

BETDAQ believes that security is paramount. All customer funds are held in ring-fenced accounts and are further secured by a US$ 10 million bond which has been placed with Allied Irish Banks plc. When you deposit money, your card details are fully encrypted, and are not stored by BETDAQ unless you specifically request the facility.
BETDAQ uses Payment Trust as our secure payment service providor.
It uses 1024 bit Verisign Digital Certificates and carries out ongoing reviews of its security procedures in order to ensure the very highest levels of comfort for its members.

Regulation

BETDAQ is fully compliant with all laws and regulations applying to betting companies operating within regulatory environments in which it has operations.

Social Responsibility

BETDAQ believes in a socially responsible attitude to gambling. It has worked closely with GAMCARE, the National Association for Gambling Care, Educational Resources and Training, to ensure that it does everything in its power to provide an enjoyable betting experience for its members and yet recognise that betting can cause problems for a small minority of the public.
In addition, it takes extra measures to verify that members must be over 18, and does not accept certain payment cards that can be offered to minors. These measures are approved by GAMCARE.


Arbitration

BETDAQ's UK service is registered with IBAS, the Independent Betting Arbitration Service. If you are operating on the UK service, and have an issue which cannot be resolved by contact with the company, you may contact IBAS who will act as arbiter in any betting dispute.
Disputes arising outside of the UK will be resolved with reference to IBAS wherever possible. In circumstances where IBAS is unable to supply a ruling, the matter will be dealt with by BETDAQ senior management.

Depositing Funds

Members may deposit funds as soon as they have completed the simple membership registration process.
There are no charges made for any deposits using Switch or Visa Debit UK and Laser Irish Debit Cards. This is the easiest method of depositing and withdrawing funds. Members using this method may deposit up to £5,000 per day.
Members who choose to deposit via Credit Card will have to pay a small sum to cover the cost of the Credit Card transaction. The standard maximum deposit by credit card is �2,000 per day, or �6,000 over a six-week period.
Members may also deposit by cheque and / or Bank Transfer. Full details may be obtained by looking in the Deposit Funds section of the website or by emailing us to accounts@betdaq.com
Membership of BETDAQ is dependant on your supplying proof of identity and address. Details are outlined in the Terms and Conditions. This restriction is intended to assist in the worldwide fight against fraud and money laundering.
